JAYAPURA - The Regency Government of Jayapura, Papua has prepared a budget of IDR 2 billion to make uniforms such as khaki shirts and batik shirts, for the local State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

Regional Secretary of Jayapura Regency Hana Hikoyabi in a press release received by ANTARA in Jayapura, Sunday, March 5, said that the budget was taken from the 2023 Jayapura Regency APBD of IDR 1.5 trillion.

According to Hana, for the plan to make uniforms for ASN, the Regional Income Planning Agency (Bappeda) and the Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKAD) together with the budget team has surveyed sewing places.

"Then we also entered into agreements or contracts with tailors regarding ordering and manufacturing of ASN service uniforms", he said.

He explained, the IDR 2 billion funds were already in the cash of the Jayapura Regency Secretariat, so ASNs were no longer charged with buying uniforms, both khaki and batik.

"It is hoped that the making of uniforms for ASN within the Jayapura Regency Government can be completed on time", he said.

Currently, he said, the number of civil servants in Jayapura Regency is more than 4,000 people.

His party also appealed to local civil servants not to play Tik Tok wearing official clothes, especially during working hours.

"But as ASN, we can set a good example for the public, don't wear uniforms and then make a movement on Tik Tok", he emphasized.
