JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of West Jakarta wrote to 18 political parties (political parties) not to install campaign attributes that show the candidates or legislative candidates who are promoted. "We write to all political parties in the city of West Jakarta. We ask to refrain from installing the attributes of political parties that are not for socialization events," said Chairman of the West Jakarta Bawaslu, Oding Junaedi, when met in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta, Antara, Monday, February 27. Oding said that currently what is allowed is to socialize the party along with the serial number that has been determined, not individual candidate campaigns. The party socialization period may only be carried out up to five days before the general election (election) takes place. New candidates are allowed to promote themselves as legislative candidates during the campaign period for 75 days. The campaign period is expected to take place in November 2023. "For 75 days before quiescence, there are only candidates allowed to campaign," explained Oding. If during the 75 days of the campaign there are political parties that commit violations such as campaigns in schools, houses of worship, and the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) environment, then his party will give a strong warning. "For example, for 75 days there are political parties that commit violations, we will record them, we will create a diagram of the level of compliance of political parties with regulations. We will publish it later," he explained.
