The Ukraine-Russia War Can Get Out Of Control, China Invites All Countries To 'Shut Up'

JAKARTA - China is worried that the conflict in Ukraine could become even more disorganized. Even so dangerous for the world. China asks all countries to exercise restraint.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Qin Gang as reported by Channel News Asia, Tuesday 21 February. He called on certain countries to stop fueling the fires. Many people believe that it refers to the United States of America.

Beijing, which last year forged a partnership with Moscow, has now refrained from condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The United States has warned of consequences if China provides military support to Russia, which Beijing says it is not.

"China is very worried that the Ukraine conflict will continue to escalate or even get out of control," Qin said in a speech at a forum held at the foreign ministry.

"We urge certain countries to stop fueling the fires immediately," he said in comments that appeared to be directed at the United States.

He also added that other countries should stop exaggerating "today Ukraine, tomorrow Taiwan".

Qin's comments came as Russia's TASS news agency said China's top diplomat Wang Yi was scheduled to arrive in Moscow on Tuesday and ahead of a "peace speech" expected to be delivered by President Xi Jinping on Friday, the anniversary of the Ukrainian invasion.

A spokesman for China's foreign ministry said Wang's visit to Russia would be an opportunity to further promote ties between the two countries.

"China is willing to take the opportunity to work with Russia to promote bilateral relations along the directions set by the two heads of state," Wang Wenbin said at a regular press briefing.
