The police arrested a grandmother with the initials S (50), for stealing a bag belonging to a gas station employee in the Pasirkuda Village area, West Bogor District, Bogor City. The reason the perpetrator stole was because he needed money to pay the rent.

This 50-year-old grandmother launched her action on Wednesday, February 15 at around 07:30 WIB.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Bogor Police, Ipda Imam Bakhtiar, said that this incident was revealed when the victim felt that she had lost her cellphone, which was stored in a bag that was placed on top of the filling machine.

Then, the victim opened the CCTV surveillance camera, and found his bag taken by a woman.

Furthermore, the victim reported this incident to the West Police, then further investigation was carried out by the police.

It didn't take long for this 50-year-old grandmother to be arrested at her residence in the Lebak Sari area, Paledang Village, Central Bogor District, Bogor City.

"We arrested him at his home. A search and arrest was carried out at around 19:30 WIB," said Ipda Imam Bakhtiar in his statement, Thursday, February 16.

Currently, Ipda Imam Bakhtiar added, the 50-year-old grandmother is still being investigated at the West Bogor Police Office.

"Currently, the steps we are taking are examining the victims and perpetrators," said Ipda Imam Bakhtiar.

According to this 50-year-old grandmother, she stole the gas station employee's bag to meet her daily needs to pay rent.

"Just pay the rent. Usually yesterday the payment was on the 15th. I don't have the money. That's why I had to," said Grandma S.

In fact, he admitted, the child who happened to take him to the gas station did not know what he was doing.

"So my son doesn't know who the bag I brought. So, my son was waiting in front of the gas station. I was out of the bathroom. I took a bag to see," said Grandma S.

Not only to pay the rent, this 50-year-old grandmother reasoned to steal this bag containing her cellphone because there was no income from her daily life as a busker.

Usually, the rent he pays per month is the result of busking. This condition made this 50-year-old grandmother do the action.

"Ngamen is also now quiet. I usually get the money from ngmen. I sing that it's normal to play around," added Grandma S.

"So I darken my eyes. That's why I steal my cellphone," said the 50-year-old grandmother.
