JAKARTA - Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin reminded political parties not to display attributes such as flags and banners bearing the party's logo in public places. As is known, entering the 2024 election season, many political parties have put up their campaign attributes.
Arifin said the DKI Provincial Government would coordinate with the General Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) and the General Elections Commission (KPU) to carry out public order efforts in terms of installing party attributes.
"Later we will be with Bawaslu and KPU. Together, we will control this (political party attribute). Yes, does anyone have a permit," said Arifin at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, February 14.
Arifin emphasized that political parties intending to install their attributes in public facilities (fasum) must first apply for permits to the DKI Provincial Government. Otherwise, installing the attribute is illegal.
"Remindered to apply for a permit to the DKI Provincial Government to the SKPD to handle it, together with the National Unity and Political Agency," said Arifin.
So far, DKI Satpol PP ranks are still making persuasive efforts by reminding installers to remove unlicensed attributes. If he is not heeded, continued Arifin, his staff will immediately put things in order by removing these attributes.
Likewise with the attributes of political parties that already have permission. Satpol PP will remind the installer of the attribute to lower it if the permit validity period has expired.
"There are several people who put up flags at certain points on certain routes, submitting their application to the DKI Provincial Government. So far, it's still persuasive. They lowered it themselves, released them themselves," explained Arifin.
Previously, RI Bawaslu member Puadi emphasized that there were rules regarding the installation of political party attributes. In KPU Regulation Number 33 of 2018, political parties that have been determined to be election participants are allowed to carry out socialization.
It's just that socialization is allowed in the form of installing party flags and socializing logos/images with serial numbers without an invitation to vote.

"Bawaslu calls on all parties to respect and maintain the purity of all stages of behavior that does not provide political education to the public," said Puadi.
