SOLO - The Solo City Government did not rule out revising the provisions of the land and building tax (PBB) following the many complaints of residents. One of them came from Siti Rahayu, a resident of Kadipiro Village, Banjarsari District. He said the value of the land tax was too high so it was not appropriate when compared to his monthly income. "Mas Gibran, I live in the house where my parents (the death of my parents) feel like I have contracted. The tax value is too large compared to my income and my needs. Previously, it was around Rp. 5,600,000, now it is Rp. 14,200,000. I have a gross income of Rp. 3 million, can I afford it?," he wrote as quoted by Antara. Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka promised to accommodate residents' complaints. "There are complaints that are on social media as well as those that meet directly with the faction heads. We accommodate all of them. We will evaluate them again later," said Gibran after receiving a visit from the chairman of the Solo City DPRD and the chairman of the PDIP faction of the Surakarta City DPRD in Solo, Antara, Monday, February 6. Regarding the increase in UN rates, it will be discussed again and evaluated. "Once again, we want an increase in PAD (original regional income). We have already discussed it in the meeting room for extensification and intensification issues," he said. He said the possibility of revision or delay would definitely be carried out. "What is clear is the complaints from residents, the objections of all of our residents are accommodated. I am not saklek (kaku), it must be like this, it must be like that. PAD must rise by imposing taxes on residents, we are not like that," he said. Meanwhile, he also welcomed the input from the Surakarta City DPRD. "He has good input from the board. We have accommodated him," he said. Regarding efforts to close the Surakarta PAD target this year, he promised to optimize existing resources. "We will explore more sources that we can strengthen again," he said. Meanwhile, Chairman of the PDIP faction of the Surakarta City DPRD YF Sukasno asked Gibran to capture the aspirations of the people who came through social media and the Surakarta Complaint Service Unit (ULAS). "The message is that the people's aspirations are captured through the media, sambat, etc. Please arrest and respond, and he says they are ready. The point is, he as a PDIP cadre remembers Mrs. Mega's message, never turn your back on the people, never leave the people behind. The complaints from the public are responded to by young leaders," he said.
