Indramayu Police, West Java, arrested two perpetrators of theft of cross-regional motorized vehicles that had acted in 14 different places.

"We are still chasing one other person. We have arrested two suspects, namely LS and DL, both of whom are residents of Indramayu Regency," said Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Fahri Siregar in Indramayu, Tuesday, January 31.

The two suspects were arrested while in their house located in Srengseng Village, Krangkeng District, Indramayu Regency.

Fahri added that the two suspects were arrested after his party received reports related to the loss of a motorcycle, and from the results of the investigation, as well as some evidence, the two perpetrators were finally arrested.

According to him, the two suspects were recidivist, because they had committed the same crime and had experienced imprisonment.

Apart from the two suspects, his party is also still pursuing other suspects, who act as collectors of stolen vehicles.

"We are also still investigating this case, because it does not rule out the possibility of other perpetrators," he said.

For the modus operandi, the two suspects stole motorized vehicles parked outside their homes and boarding houses, and then broke the lock using the letter T key.

From the suspect's hands, his party confiscated a number of evidences including dozens of T letter keys, motorcycles, jackets, and surveillance camera footage.

"As a result of his actions, the suspect is subject to Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of seven years," he said.
