JAKARTA - Nine teenagers who were about to fight were arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team from two different locations. As a result of the search, the police confiscated sharp weapons from the hands of the perpetrators.

"They were arrested from Kebayoran Lama Street and Semeru Street Gg 5, Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta," said West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Samapta Police Commissioner Arief Budiharso when confirmed, Tuesday, January 24.

The arrest was made when a member of the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team was conducting a territorial patrol. Then the officer received information that a number of students were hanging out and allegedly carrying a number of sharp weapons.

"The team immediately moved to respond to the residents' report and secured 9 teenagers along with 2 sharp weapons in the form of 1 samurai and 1 large sickle," he said.

Furthermore, the teenagers along with evidence of sharp weapons were handed over to the Kebon Jeruk Police and the Tanjung Duren Police for further investigation. Now the teenagers have been examined and collected data and will be given guidance.

"We are intensifying patrols, especially during hours and locations that are prone to disturbances from the law and order," he said.
