Re-arrangement of Malalayang Beach Manado IDR 96 Billion, Jokowi Invites Residents to Keep Clean

MANADO - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) during his working visit to North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi) invited the public to maintain the cleanliness of Malalayang Beach in Manado City. The arrangement of the Malalayang Beach area costs IDR 96 billion.

"Let's maintain the cleanliness of Malalayang Beach which has been repaired and revamped", said the President after inaugurating the Manado Beach Walk (MBW) quoted by Antara, Friday, January 20.

According to the President, the cost of restructuring the Malalayang Beach tourism area is not small and absorbs a budget of up to IDR 96 billion.

The Head of State said, after the arrangement of the Malalayang Beach area, activities like this would be continued until the arrangement of Manado City was getting better.

The arrangement of the tourism areas for Malalayang Beach and Bunaken was carried out by PT Nindya Karya. In this tourist destination, a floating stall was built, and there is a globe icon embedded with a relief of the ancient Coelacanth fish.

This floating stall will later be used by the community of micro, small and medium business traders who previously used this area to sell.

Apart from the floating stalls, there is also a playground with equipment, a jogging track area, and other facilities.

After giving his remarks, the President greeted the residents who since 12.00 WITA crowded the area to sign the inauguration inscription.

The President also had time to mingle with the children of the Malalayang Kartini Kindergarten, who at that time had finished coloring the pictures, there were yells, and the Head of State also occasionally followed the children's movements.

After that, the President walked around the location of the Malalayang Beach tourism area arrangement project, shook hands, and took selfies with the people who greeted him.
