Please Note, CFD In Jakarta Will Be Stopped During The 2023 Chinese New Year Celebration

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has canceled car-free day (HBKB) activities in the capital city on Sunday, January 22.

Judging from the DKI Transportation Agency's Instagram account, the elimination of CFD in Jakarta is because it coincides with the Chinese New Year celebration.

"In connection with the Chinese New Year 2574 Kongzili celebration, motorized vehicle-free day on Sunday (22/01/2023) is temporarily suspended," wrote Instagram @dishubdkijakarta, as quoted on Friday, January 20.

CFD in Jakarta has been held again since May 21 2022 after being stopped for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In practice, the car-free day will start from 06.00 to 10.00 WIB. Then, there are six points of implementation of the policy.

Starting from, Jenderal Sudirman Street-MH. Thamrin Street, Sisingamangaraja Street (Sculpture of Youth Builds up to CSW), South Jakarta.

Then, Tomang Raya Street (starting from Simpang Tomang to Business Hotel Tomang), West Jakarta. There is also Danau Sunter Selatan Street (Simpang Karya Beton to GOR Sunter).

Furthermore, Suryo Pranoto Street (Harmoni Intersection to Tarakan Hospital Intersection), Central Jakarta, and Youth Street (Arion Intersection to TU-GAS Intersection), East Jakarta.

Usually, when it coincides with holidays, the DKI Pemprov eliminates the implementation of CFD. Finally, CFD will be stopped on December 22 2022 and January 1 2023 because it coincides with the celebration of Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 which will also be held at that location.
