The Bogor City Police, assisted by residents, thwarted a brawl by junior high school students at the Tanjakan Empang Bridge, South Bogor District, Bogor City, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 afternoon.

A total of 15 students from Bogor Regency were secured and taken to the Bogor City Police for data collection.

"It is suspected that there will be a brawl. At the TKP there were about 25, but only 15 students were caught," said the Head of Bogor City Police, Kombes Bismo Teguh Prakoso, Thursday, January 19.

"When secured, no sharp weapons were found," he continued.

Currently, he continued, the 15 students have collected data, taken photos and fingerprints.

"The function of taking photos and fingerprints is to make it easier to identify if they do another brawl," he explained.

He added that after taking photos and fingerprints, the Head of Intelligence and Security (IK) carried out counseling to students, parents and teaching staff.

"The point of emphasis is that for the next week you are required to report that you have returned home to your respective classroom guardians and do not follow the invitations of the seniors who are members of Street Genk," explained Kombes Bismo.

More than that, the students are required to report to the principal if there is an invitation to join Street Genk.

His party also applies a synergistic pattern of coaching between the classroom guardian and the school as an effort to monitor and anticipatory.

"If caught going to a brawl again, we will take steps according to the excalation," concluded Kombes Bismo.
