The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Has Studied Whether There Is An Investigative Element Of Investigation Related To The Statement Of Lawyer Lukas Enembe

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) monitors the statement made by the inactive Papua Governor's attorney Lukas Enembe. The study will be conducted to determine whether or not there is an element of obstruction to the investigation.

"Is it true that if the suspect and his legal advisers who speak are not in accordance with this fact, we will also review it," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, January 17.

"Whether the person concerned is categorized as obstructing the process of the investigation," he continued.

Lukas' lawyer has indeed made several claims regarding the condition of his client who is now a prisoner at the Pomdam Jaya Guntur detention center, Jakarta.

Most recently, Petrus Bala Pattyona, who is one of the teams of Lukas' lawyers, said that his client's condition had dropped. As a result, he was not examined by investigators as a witness for the suspect Rijantono Lakka today, Tuesday, January 17.

"It can't be checked. So the officer said he was defecating," said Petrus at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Receiving this statement, the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, said that Lukas was taken to the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital on the recommendation of the KPK doctor. The suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification really needs to be examined and consulted with a doctor.

There is no interest in the condition of Lukas Enembe. "The person concerned needs to consult and examine a doctor regarding the replacement and addition of the medicines needed," Ali told reporters.

Previously, Lukas was detained after he was named a suspect in alleged bribery and gratification in project procurement at the Papua Provincial Government. During his detention, he appeared to be using a wheelchair.

In this case, Lukas allegedly received money from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka, so that the company would receive a project. It is suspected that this collusion was also carried out with officials in the Papua Provincial Government.

After the project was won, Rijantono handed over Rp1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to billions of rupiah.
