JAKARTA - The National Police will take firm action against members involved in drug cases. In fact, dismissal sanctions do not hesitate to be given to those who violate. "If there are members of the National Police who are proven to be involved in a criminal act of drug abuse, it means that the person concerned has violated the disciplinary rules and code of ethics of the Indonesian National Police," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Nurul Azizah to reporters, Thursday, January 12. "So that strict sanctions will be given ranging from demotion to PTDH or dishonorable dismissal," he continued. Giving strict sanctions to those who violate is the Police's commitment to cleaning up the Bhayangkara Corps. Currently, supervision of all members will continue. Thus, preventing members of the National Police from falling into the black hole of narcotics. "The National Police will continue to supervise all members of the Bhayangkara Corps as a precautionary measure within the Police regarding the misuse of drug crimes involving members of the National Police," said Nurul. For information, there are two drug cases that ensnared members of the National Police. In fact, the suspect is a general at the Bhayangkara Corps. First, the case involving Inspector General Teddy Minahasa. He is suspected of being involved in embezzling evidence of 5 kilograms of methamphetamine. Currently, the case has been transferred to the Prosecutor's Office. So, it's just a matter of waiting for the trial. Then, there is also a case involving a middle officer (pamen) of the National Police, namely Kombes Yulius Bambang Karryanto alias YBK. He is a member of Baharkam Polri who was involved in a drug case. Kombes Yulius was arrested at a hotel in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta, Friday, January 6. From the arrest, evidence was confiscated of two packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing 0.5 grams and 0.6 grams.
