JAKARTA - The National Democrat Party (NasDem) firmly said that it would not leave the Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin government coalition even though the issue of cabinet reshuffle continues to be shaken. Secretary General of the NasDem Party, Johnny G Plate, firmly said that he would never declare his exit and continue to consistently help Jokowi realize national development.

"One thing to note, the winner never quit and the quiver never win. Nasdem is the winner, Nasdem will never quit," said Johnny in the Darmawangsa area, South Jakarta, Sunday, January 8. Johnny revealed that the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party DPP Surya Paloh, ensured that his party would remain with the Jokowi government coalition even though the ministerial post from his party was replaced by another political party.

"The General Chairperson of NasDem said that for the 2024-2029 period he will firmly maintain the consistency of national development that has been initiated by the current cabinet," he explained.

The Minister of Communication and Information also emphasized that NasDem will faithfully oversee the government until President Jokowi's term ends in 2024. "Never Quiet in guarding national development. Because the success of the cabinet is so important for the nation and state in difficult situations," concluded Johnny.

Previously, Johnny G Plate had also denied the issue that he called himself resigning from the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. The issue of Johnny Plate stepping down as Minister of Communication and Information emerged amid the cabinet reshuffle news that Jokowi would carry out this January. The issue circulated through social media. Johnny emphasized that until now he was still assigned by President Jokowi to carry out his function as Minister of Communication and Information. "Given the information related to our duties as the Indonesian Minister of Communication and Information which has been widely circulated in the community, especially in social media, we can convey that until now we are still carrying out the duties and functions entrusted by the president as a member of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet," said Johnny G Plate to reporters, Thursday, January 5. Johnny also emphasized that the change of cabinet members is entirely under the authority of President Jokowi according to the Indonesian constitution. He hopes that every political party (parpol) can understand the prerogative of the president.
