The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Cianjur Regency, West Java, has asked residents living on riverbanks, especially the southern region, to be alert and alert in line with the high rainfall since the past week. BPBD has alerted disaster-resilient volunteers (Retana) in each sub-district and village to increase supervision and immediately evacuate residents when they see natural signs of a disaster. Coordination with sub-districts and villages that are prone to natural disasters, especially floods in the southern region, is further enhanced, including giving advice to residents living on riverbanks ranging from Sukanagara to Cidaun sub-districts. "Currently, we are not only focusing on handling earthquake disasters, but we are also alert and flood alert because of the high rainfall since the past week. We have also intensified the same appeal to earthquake victims who still live in self-isolation posts," he said.
