A Total Of 289,508 Vehicles Leave Jakarta Ahead Of Christmas 2022 Via The Cikampek Utama Toll Gate

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol recorded 289,508 vehicles leaving Jakarta to the east during the period leading up to the 2022 Christmas holiday via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT).

"The vehicles are heading east from D-7 to D-1 Christmas 2022 or from 18-24 December," said AVP Marketing, Communication and Sustainability Management of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll M. Sonny Saputra in Bekasi, quoted from Antara, Sunday, December 25.

He said the volume of vehicles passing on the route had increased by 41.14 percent compared to normal traffic of 205,118 vehicles.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol also recorded an increase in traffic volume in the same period at Kalikangkung GT and Banyumanik GT, Central Java Province and Warugunung GT, Kepapan Utama, and Singosari, East Java Province.

The volume of GT Kalikangkung vehicles to Semarang was recorded at 176,528 vehicles, an increase of 57.3 percent from normal traffic of 112,227 vehicles and vehicles leaving Semarang recorded 136,700 vehicles, an increase of 31.3 percent from normal traffic of 104,111 vehicles.

At the same time, 242,137 vehicles headed to Semarang via GT Banyumanik, an increase of 47.89 percent from normal traffic of 163,733 vehicles and 200,244 vehicles left Semarang, an increase of 47.28 percent compared to normal traffic of 135,957 vehicles.

In East Java Province, 160,925 vehicles headed to Surabaya via the Warugunung GT or an increase of 28.58 percent from normal traffic of 125,154 vehicles while 149,685 vehicles left Surabaya, an increase of 23.73 percent from normal traffic of 120,980 vehicles.

Then 209,861 vehicles headed to Surabaya via the Main Prosecutor's Office or an increase of 15.83 percent from normal traffic 181,182 vehicles while leaving Surabaya there were 221,185 vehicles, an increase of 20.34 percent from normal traffic as many as 183,801 vehicles.

Finally, at GT Singosari, 104,344 vehicles passed to Malang, an increase of 19.69 percent from normal traffic of 87,181 vehicles, while 97,218 vehicles left Malang, an increase of 22.9 percent from normal traffic of 79,101 vehicles.

He appealed to road users to prepare themselves before traveling by ensuring that they and their vehicles are in prime condition, sufficient fuel and electronic money balance, and complying with signs and directions from officers in the field.
