CIANJUR - Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, has asked various groups who want to donate to earthquake victims to be channeled through centralized posts of the government and humanitarian organizations as an effort to facilitate the evacuation process and the quick handling of the joint team.

This is because, according to the Regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman, the convoy of vehicles that want to distribute donations hinders the vehicles of joint officers when carrying out the evacuation process, especially refugees who want to be referred from evacuation to the hospital.

"Please donate to ease the burden on earthquake victims, but don't use a lot of vehicles because it will hinder the evacuation process and distribution of logistics to health posts in evacuation centers, especially tactical vehicles used to evacuate sick residents," said Herman, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 17.

Herman explained, donors who want to distribute aid or donations can visit the logistics post in the Cianjur Regional Government area or to the post of a humanitarian organization that can be trusted by its legality, so that joint officers can quickly reach the handling location.

Since the last few days, Herman continued, the volume of vehicles carrying assistance has packed the route to the post and locations affected by the earthquake was quite severe in the districts of Cugenang, Cianjur, Warungkondang and Pacet, so that the queue of vehicles occurred from morning to night.

"The road to the evacuation posts and affected villages is crowded with vehicles parked on the side of the road to deliver direct assistance to refugees. This will definitely hamper the performance of officers, including the distribution of water or medicines to service posts," he said.

To avoid long traffic jams that hinder the quick handling carried out by officers, donors are asked to choose the official post in Cianjur in distributing the donations and conveying them to the recipients without having to congested.
