DVI Police Successfully Identify Six Bodies of Cianjur Earthquake Victims, There Are Bags Contains Body Pieces

JAKARTA - The National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team has identified six bodies, after receiving 14 body bags for earthquake victims in Cianjur Regency, West Java.

Head of the West Java Regional Police Dokkes Kombes Pol dr Adang Azhar at the Sayang Cianjur Hospital, Friday, November 25, said his party had received as many as 145 body bags, consisting of 144 intact bodies and one containing body parts.

"This morning we have again succeeded in identifying six bodies", he said as quoted by Antara.

The first body with a PM 118 number, was identified as Indri, a 24-year-old woman. Second, the body of PM 119 was identified as Andika Sulaiman, a 34-year-old man.

Third, the body of PM 120 was identified as Tatik Rohayati, a 56-year-old woman. Fourth, the body of PM 121 was identified as Yayah Rodiyah, a 52-year-old woman.

Fifth, the body of PM 122 was identified as Yeni Siti Rubaeni, a 54-year-old woman, and the six bodies of PM 123 were identified as Fitrianingsih, a 24-year-old woman.

"The total number of data that have been identified as of today, Friday, November 25, 2022, is 130 bodies, and six bodies are still waiting for the complete antemortem data. While one body part or body part is still waiting for further examination, namely waiting for the results of DNA examination", he said.

He also said eight bodies were in the process of being examined and continuing.

His party appealed to families who still lost their family members to be able to report to the Missing Persons Complaints Command at the Sayang Cianjur Hospital by bringing the victim's data in the form of a family card, latest medical record, biological family and other for DNA sampling, said Adang Azhar.
