Criminal Investigation Agency Destroys 269 Kg of Methamphetamine Results of Disclosure of 4 Cases in Aceh to North Sumatra

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Narcotics Crime of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has destroyed evidence of 269.7 kilograms of methamphetamine. The drugs are the result of the disclosure of four cases in Aceh, Riau, and North Sumatra.

"Destroyed evidence of narcotics of the type of methamphetamine weighing 269,707 grams (269 kilograms, ed)", said Director of Criminal Investigation at the National Police, Brigadier General Krisno H Siregar, to reporters, Tuesday, November 22.

The disclosure of the four cases was the result of cooperation with Customs and Excise. In addition, there are seven people named as suspects.

The suspects, in this case, are Safwan Supardi alias Awan, Fatahillah, Marzani AR, Muhammad Reza, T. Zulyandi, Hendra Khoman, and Candra Saputra alias Carles.

Krisno explained that the disclosure of the first case took place in Riau on September 14. Safwan Supardi alias Awan was arrested and named a suspect with 21,283 grams of methamphetamine as evidence.

Investigators and Customs and Excise then arrested the suspect Fatahillah in Aceh on 7 October. From the disclosure, 179,000 grams of methamphetamine were confiscated.

"The third arrest is still with Customs and Excise in the waters of Aceh Tamiang. That's evidence that 50,000 grams of crystal methamphetamine were obtained", said Krisno.

"There were four suspects arrested, Marzani AR, Muhammad Reza, T. Zulyandi, and Hendra Khoman", he continued.

There was also a case disclosure of 19,424 grams of methamphetamine in North Sumatra. One person with the identity of Candra Saputra alias Carles was named a suspect.

"So the total souls that can be saved are 1,078,828", said Krisno.
