KUDUS - Kudus Regency Government, Central Java, has prepared a budget of IDR 1.78 billion to revitalize the Colo Tourism Terminal. A number of merchant kiosks will be arranged including strengthening the talut around the terminal.
"The auction has been completed because there are already winners of the auction so they are waiting for the signing of the contract with partners," said Head of the Kudus Regency Culture and Tourism Office, Mutrikah in Kudus, Antara, Thursday, November 17.
After signing the contract, he said, the Colo Tourism Terminal revitalization project could be started. Among other things, he added, the addition of merchant kiosks and other supporting facilities and infrastructure, to strengthening the talut because the terminal is located in a mountainous area.
Regarding development, so far many traders have built kiosks with different sizes according to their respective abilities. In the end, the number of kiosks built by traders independently reached 85 units.
Meanwhile, traders who do not have capital cannot build it because the land is no longer available.
"The traders who did not have a chance to build finally complained to the Kudus Regency Government. Finally, it was decided to make a kiosk with a uniform size," he said.
Because the Rp1.78 billion budget was also used to strengthen the talut around the terminal, it was finally decided that the number of kiosks to be built was 62 kiosks.
The kiosks built are not just kiosk buildings without doors and electricity networks, but are complete with doors and electricity networks. So that traders can immediately occupy without having to spend more.
"If the kiosk built is incomplete with doors and electricity networks, of course, the existing budget can be used to build 102 kiosks. However, the decision was to build a kiosk complete with doors and electricity networks," he said.
Meanwhile, the shortfall, he said, would be proposed in the 2023 fiscal year.
With the construction of stalls and other supporting infrastructure in tourist terminal areas, at least tourists visiting religious tourist attractions in Colo Village, Dawe District, Kudus Regency, are more comfortable both in shopping and other activities due to the arrangement in the terminal area which has a capacity of 50 tourist buses.
