JAKARTA - Former Governor of DKI Jakarta as well as a candidate for president (Read President) of the NasDem Party, Anies Baswedan met the Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Novotel Hotel Solo, Central Java, Tuesday, November 15. The two of them looked familiar at the moment of breakfast this morning. The chairman of the NasDem Party DPP Willy Aditya said that Anies' visit to Solo was a gathering step. In fact, he said, Anies had spoken to President Joko Widodo to meet Gibran in Solo. "Yes, silaturahim is between Anies and Mas Gibran. Previously, he had also told Mr. Jokowi that he would go to Solo and meet Mr. Gibran," said Willy to VOI, Tuesday, November 15. Willy did not confirm that Anies' visit to Gibran was one of the political safari agendas as a presidential candidate in 2024. However, he said, if Anies felt compatible with Gibran to be his companion in 2024 then it would be a mate. "Yes, silaturahim. If Mas Anies feels compatible with Gibran and Mas Gibran feels compatible with Mas Anies, that match," said Willy relaxed. It is known that former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan had breakfast with Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Novotel Hotel Solo, Central Java, Tuesday, November 15.

Anies, revealed that his meeting with the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was part of the friendship. According to the future presidential candidate (Read President) from the NasDem Party, there were no special talks with Gibran during breakfast.

"Earlier, we chatted casually, Mas Gibran, while having breakfast, nothing special, but just friendship," said Anies.

Anies denied discussing politics with Gibran. He considered, now is a moment of relaxed friendship.

"Oh no (there are political talks). We chat here and there. Later on, it's the presidential election. Now we're having a relaxed relationship," he said. "Then now we want to go to the haul event (Habib Ali bin Muhammad Al Habsyi). Hopefully the event will run smoothly, and I pray that Mas Gibran will always be healthy, facilitated in carrying out this mandate. We are very happy this morning to welcome him, have breakfast together and many things that we will discuss," added Anies.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, admitted that his meeting with Anies Baswedan discussed issues of public transportation and problems in the city.

"We talk a lot about public transportation and problems in the city. We don't talk about politics. We just chat lightly," explained Gibran.
