Case Files of 2 Inactive Members of the Dompu Police Allegedly Distributing Methamphetamine Delegated to the Prosecutor's Office

NTB - The case files of two police officers with the initials AM (26) and MYF (27) suspected of being involved in the distribution of methamphetamine in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office. The two suspects are suspected of possessing methamphetamine with a gross weight of 302.41 grams.

"Yes, we have delegated it and are now waiting for the results of the investigation from the prosecutor", said NTB National Narcotics Agency Investigator, Brigadier General Gagas Nugraha, in Mataram, NTB, quoted from Antara, Thursday, November 10.

As a complete file, Gagas said the NTB Police had destroyed 281.12 grams of crystal methamphetamine from the arrests of AM and MYF.

Gagas continued, the remainder of the total evidence confiscated was set aside for laboratory test materials and the need for evidence at trial.

"After being weighed, the net weight is 289 grams. 3.92 grams for laboratory tests, and 3.96 grams for evidence at trial. We destroyed the rest today", he said.

In this case, AM and MYF have not been fired and have the status of non-active members of the Dompu Police, NTB.

AM and MYF were arrested in mid-August 2022. Both were arrested while they were in a boarding house in the Simpasai area, Woja District, Dompu Regency.

From the arrest of the two suspects, the police confiscated crystal methamphetamine in three plastic packages.

The two suspects violated Article 112 paragraph (2) and or Article 114 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
