PONTIANAK - The West Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Team and Customs and Excise prevented the shipment of 14 containers of CPO (crude palm oil) suspected illegal at the Port of Dwikora Pontianak, West Kalimantan. "The disclosure of this case is an intelligence operation by the prosecutor's office that obtains information about the export plan of 14 containers, then checks are carried out, and based on export documents containing dirty oil (Miko) but after checking it contains CPO, there is a difference between the documents and the contents of the container," said the Head of the West Kalimantan Attorney General's Office, Masyhudi in Pontianak, Antara, Tuesday, November 1. He explained that his party was concerned about disclosing this case because it involved the country's economy. "We also protect entrepreneurs, but they must also fulfill their obligations so that the state is not harmed, and what this is doing is for the benefit of the nation and state," he said. He added, in handling this case, his party will coordinate and hope that all entrepreneurs in West Kalimantan will support the program set by the government, because the current government is concerned about the economy of this country. "We protect entrepreneurs, investors, but they must also fulfill their responsibilities, so that no one is harmed," he said. Meanwhile, the Head of Customs and Excise Division of West Kalimantan, Agung Saptono, said that his party would continue to coordinate with in-depth researchers regarding this case. "From the initial examination of this case, there was a notification of incorrect goods and caused state losses. We will still conduct lab tests for these goods and then calculate the difference, because indeed the CPO export tax is greater," he said. "In monitoring exports, his party conducts initial checks and follow-up checks, when there are suspicions of inappropriate goods, the next process will be carried out," he said.
