Today, Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan Conducts Ethics Trial Of Brigadier J's Case

JAKARTA - The ethics trial against Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan regarding the case of obstructing the investigation into the death of Brigadier J at the Duren Tiga crime scene will be held today, Monday 31 October.

"Yes [today's ethics trial]," said Henry confirmed in Jakarta, Monday, October 31.

Henry did not know for sure what time the ethics trial of the former Karopaminal of the Propam Police Division was held, because he was not required to accompany his client during the ethics trial.

"But I did not accompany, because it should not be accompanied by an advocate from outside, except the Divkum Polri," said Henry.

The ethics trial of Brigadier General Pol Hendra Kurniawan has been planned since September 2022, but its implementation continues to be delayed due to the illness of one of the key witnesses, AKBP Arif Rahman Arifin. Then the trial was rescheduled for October, again postponed due to the readiness for the delegation of phase II.

Now, Hendra Kurniawan is a defendant in an obstruction of justice case, and has been undergoing a criminal trial at the South Jakarta District Court since Wednesday, October 19.

As of October 3, the Public Relations of the Indonesian National Police no longer informs the schedule of the ethics trial of 35 members of the National Police who are suspected of violating ethics in handling the case of the murder of Brigadier J.

The first ethical trial against Ferdy Sambo was held on Thursday, August 25. Then, it was again held in parallel from September 1 for Kompol Chuck Putranto and on September 2, the ethics trial for Kompol Baiquni Wibowo.

Of the 35 alleged violators, a total of 19 people have undergone ethics trials.

Based on Antara's report, information on the last ethics hearing shared by the Public Relations of the Police, Monday, October 3, for suspected AKP violator Rifaizal Samual. It is not known for sure which of the remaining 16 personnel have undergone the ethics trial, and what the results of the ethics trial verdict have been since October 3rd.

Of the 16 personnel, it is not known whether they have been tried on ethics or not, there are three accused of obstruction of justice, namely Brigadier General Pol Hendra Kurniawan, AKPB Arif Rahman Arifin, and AKP Irfan Widyanto.

The agenda for the ethics trial of Brigadier General Pol Hendra Kurniawan was revealed at the South Jakarta District Court when the panel of judges determined the day for the follow-up hearing of Ferdy Sambo's subordinate, Thursday, October 27.

The ethics meeting was held in the courtroom of the National Police Propam Division on the first floor of the National Police Headquarters TNCC Building, South Jakarta.
