JAKARTA - The government will maximize trauma healing services for victims and families of victims of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy.

Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy memastikan pemerintah akan melakukan pengecekan periodis kepada para korban Tragedy Kanjuruhan.

"God willing, we will provide maximum service so that the negative impact of the Kanjuruhan tragedy can be suppressed as much as possible. We will check all developments in trauma healing services," he said in a press release, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 10.

Based on the data he has pocketed, Muhadjir said the number of victims who died after the Arema FC vs Persebaya match in Surabaya on Saturday, October 1, amounted to 130 people.

He detailed that of that number 70 people were children aged 11-20 years, then people were 4 years old.

"Victims who died young people must have hit their parents very hard, so there must be trauma healing and not only those who watch, but also their families will be accompanied by trauma healing team," he said.

He said the trauma healing team had been provided from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Affairs and universities, so it was hoped that it would provide excellent service to the victim and his family.

Not only that, he continued, if there are families who are economically affected, for example, the death toll is the backbone of the family's economy, the government will provide social assistance with the Family Hope Program (PKH) scheme and also village funds to ease the burden on family victims.

Minister Muhadjir accompanied by Mayor of Probolinggo Hadi Zainal Abidin visited the house of the victim of the tragedy of the Kanjuruhan Stadium from Probolinggo City, namely Yanuar Dwi Bramastyo, to express his condolences in Probolinggo City, Sunday 9 October.

He hopes that this incident will not happen again because it is very painful and sad, even too expensive if football must be sacrificed with so many lives.

"For this reason, I appeal to all supporters to be careful, even though it is called a disaster, it is difficult, if it has been determined by God, it cannot be avoided, but all parties must be able to take lessons from it," he said.

According to him, many things must be taken into account for this incident, apart from field managers, must also have a definite and clear calculation, such as the capacity of the arena and the timing of the event.

Meanwhile, the father of the late Yanuar, Serda Joko, expressed his gratitude for the visit of the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture with the Mayor of Probolinggo to the funeral home.

"Thank you for the attention of the Minister of Human Development and Culture for the disaster. Hopefully it will be the last one for the humanitarian tragedy. Hopefully, your arrival will also strengthen our parents of the victims," he said.
