JAKARTA - Dozens of People with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) were again detained by the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) around the State Palace, Gambir area, Central Jakarta on Wednesday night, October 5.

Head of Central Jakarta Satpol PP, Tumbur Parluhutan Purba, said the control was carried out because of reports from residents regarding the existence of PMKS.

"We got a lot of complaints from the public, then we organized the PMKS in the Gambir area," said Tumbur when confirmed, Thursday, October 6.

Tumbur said that there were 16 PMKS that were successfully captured by officers in a number of places. The types of PMKS that were secured were beggars, buskers, scavengers, cart people, and Pak Ogah.

"All those caught were immediately taken to the Kedoya Panti, West Jakarta. They will receive guidance from the Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department," he said.
