Puslabfor Polri Headquarters Disbursed To Honor The Causes Of Large Fires In Menteng

JAKARTA - The Menteng Metro Police will deploy members of the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters to process the crime scene (TKP) at the location of the fire in densely populated settlements, Jalan Cikini Kramat, RT 004 and 015 RW 01, Pegangsaan Village, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Menteng Metro Police Chief AKBP Netty Rosdiana Siagian explained that currently his party has installed a police line at the location of the fire. Later the Puslabfor will investigate the crime scene where the fire started which scorched 21 houses in Menteng.

"The information is that today Puslabfor will come to conduct a crime scene investigation," said AKBP Netty when confirmed, Wednesday, September 28.

After the police line is installed, residents or anyone is prohibited from entering because the investigation is still in the process at the TKP.

"Residents should not enter an area that has been given a police line until the crime scene is completed by Puslabfor," he said.

AKBP Netty said it was suspected that the cause of the fire came from one of the houses selling chicken porridge. The fire occurred due to a leak of a 3 kilogram gas cylinder.

"The small gas leaked. We have questioned three witnesses who asked for information and stated that the fire did come from the place where the porridge was sold," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim who suffered burns was seriously taken to Yarsi Hospital for further treatment.

As a result of the fire, as many as 21 houses were burned to the ground. Meanwhile, 40 families (KK) and 105 people were forced to evacuate. The fire also caused one porridge trader to be burned up to 50 percent.
