JAKARTA - First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo started a working visit to Sragen Regency, Central Java, by inviting Wury Ma'ruf Amin and members of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE) to distribute food assistance and plant trees in Masaran District.

The provision of basic food assistance was carried out at the Masaran District Office and Iriana directly greeted pregnant women, toddlers, people with disabilities, and the community who received assistance.

After the handover of aid, Iriana and members of OASE KIM immediately resumed tree planting activities in the side yard of the Masaran District Office.

Iriana planted the yellow Bali variant of the early maturing coconut tree, while Wury and Tri Tito Karnavian planted the Cinepak variant of the avocado tree.

"Today's KIM OASE activities as usual fields 1 to 5 held an event. Earlier, I met with pregnant women, poor people, the elderly, and also planted coconut trees and avocados, and all distribution of seeds was 1,000 coconuts and 1,000 avocados", said Iriana in her statement after the event at the Windasari Batik Center as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, September 22.

Meanwhile, Head of Division 5 of KIM OASE Ayun Sri Syahrul Yasin, explained that apart from early maturing coconut and avocado seedlings, KIM OASE also handed over other seeds to local community groups and farmer groups.

"According to the task of field 5 in OASE, Indonesia is green, so today in Sragen we are handing over 1,000 coconut seeds, early maturing coconut, and 1,000 avocado seeds. There are chili and coffee seeds, they are intended for the community or community groups, groups farmer", he said.

Ayun hopes that the given seeds can be planted in all Sragen sub-district offices or even in residents' yards. Community groups can plant through the sustainable food yard program (P2L) by utilizing their home yards.

"Community groups that have farmer groups can plant P2L, chili, chili seeds in their garden groups, community groups who have gardens plant chilies, then the results are enjoyed equally, like that", said Ayun.

After leaving the Windasari batik center, the First Lady and her entourage are scheduled to return to Jakarta via the Adi Soemarmo Air Force Base in Boyolali on Thursday afternoon.
