NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police will clarify the owner of the TikTok account @miaerliana regarding a video upload about his personal experience claiming to be a victim of verbal abuse or catcalling while traveling in Gili Trawangan, North Lombok Regency.

The Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Artanto explained that the agenda for requesting clarification was a follow-up to reports from the community group of North Lombok Regency.

"So, this clarification agenda is a follow-up to the report. The Reported Party (owner of the @miaerliana account) will definitely be clarified, but for the beginning, we will prioritize it from the reporting party," said Artanto in Mataram, NTB, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 21.

In addition to the clarification request agenda, his party will also collect documents to follow up on reports submitted to the NTB Regional Police on Monday, September 19.

The document relates to TikTok @miaerliana's 2 minutes 50 seconds video content, which is the material for the report on allegations of insult and/or defamation of residents of North Lombok Regency.

"Anyway, we will collect all documents related to the report, including that (TikTok @miaerliana video)," he added.

The community group report relates to the alleged criminal violation of Article 27 paragraph 3 Juncto Article 45 paragraph 3 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE).

Regarding the report, he assured the NTB Police that they would handle it according to the procedure for handling cases. The report is now under the control of the cyber team because it relates to the issue of the ITE Law.

"The handling of direct reports is under the control of cyber creamsus (special criminal) because it relates to the ITE Law," said Artanto.
