KALSEL - The spread of COVID-19 in South Kalimantan Province continues to grow. As of Friday, September 16, it was reported that a total of 95 COVID-19 patients were being treated. The South Kalimantan Province COVID-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling (TGTP2) said that 7 people were infected with COVID-19 today. The details are that there are three people in Banjarmasin Regency, Banjarbaru City, Kotabaru Regency and Tapin Regency, one person each. The total number of COVID-19 patients in each region in South Kalimantan, namely, Banjarmasin City as many as 31 people, Banjar Regency 29 people, Balangan Regency, Tanah Laut Regency and Banjarbaru City 7 people each. Furthermore, from Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency as many as five people, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency four people, Tabalong Regency two people and Tanah Bumbu Regency, Kotabaru Regency and Tapin Regency one person each. Meanwhile, two regencies, namely, Barito Kuala and Hulu Sungai Selatan no longer have COVID-19 patients. The total number of COVID-19 cases in South Kalimantan during the pandemic was 87,511 cases, 84,833 people recovered and 2,583 people died. The percentage of COVID-19 recovery in South Kalimantan reached 96.94 percent, 0.11 percent were treated and 2.95 percent died. Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office Dr Diauddin in Banjarmasin, Friday, stated that all must continue to be vigilant, because the transmission of COVID-19 continues to exist. Therefore, all must continue to apply health protocols, as well as follow the vaccination program. "Indeed, most of the infected are self-isolating," he said as quoted by Antara. According to him, all regions in this province are still in the status of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) at levels 1 to 3 October.
