JAKARTA - Commission I of the DPR asked the National Cyber Crypto Agency (BSSN) and the Cyber Police to trace and arrest the person behind the account named Bjorka who hacked the personal data of public officials. Member of Commission I of the DPR Golkar Faction Bobby Rizaldi said that according to the president's regulations, the BSSN and Cyber Police must immediately act to arrest the owner of the Bjorka account.

"In accordance with Presidential Regulation 28 of 2021, BSSN carries out the duties of the government in the field of kamsiber, immediately act, analyze, investigate and together with the Cyber Crime Division of the Police arrest the perpetrators," Bobby said, Monday, September 12.

Bobby explained, that in the Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law, data controllers, both state and private institutions, are obliged to protect the data of Indonesian citizens (WNI). The law is currently just waiting to be ratified in the plenary meeting.

"The PDP Law ensures that any data controller, whether public/state, or private, is obliged to protect data belonging to Indonesian citizens. Coordination between institutions will also be regulated in this law, including cooperation between state institutions," he said. Bobby explained that the government is building a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) together with BSSN with the coordinator of Deputy VI BIN and the Ministry of Communication and Information. He hopes that with the presence of CSIRT, personal data leaks can be prevented in the future.

"Hopefully until this CSIRT is formed, hacking and leaking data in state institutions can be prevented and personal data belonging to the public is protected," Bobby hoped.

Bobby also emphasized that currently, the public is waiting for the readiness of the National Cyber and National Police to arrest the owner of the Bjorka account. According to him, the hackers are already very worrying the Indonesian people.

"To arrest Bjorka, the BSSN lead sector together with the Cyber Crime Division of the Police, the public is waiting for whether these two institutions are ready," he added.
