JAKARTA - PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) has extended its bus operating hours to 24 hours starting today, Monday, September 12.

The Head of the Transjakarta Corporate Secretary Division, Anang Rizkani Noor said, the extension of operating hours is aimed at serving people who are still active until late at night.

It is also intended that people who have been using private vehicles to switch to public transportation in line with the increase in the price of fuel oil (BBM).

“This 24-hour service applies in 13 corridors. Hopefully, this additional service time will help the community when fuel prices rise," said Anang in his statement, Monday, September 12.

Thus, Transjakarta operating hours for regular buses operate from 05.00 to 22.00 WIB. Furthermore, the Night Transport (Amari) service operates from 22.00 to 05.00 WIB.

Anang said that the DKI BUMD in the transportation sector will adjust officers at bus stops and buses to support 24-hour operations every day.

"We urge customers to remain vigilant and be careful traveling at night," said Anang.

Meanwhile, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, ensured that the transportation modes integrated with the Jaklingko system such as Transjakarta BRT and non-BRT, Minitrans, to Microtrans did not increase their fares despite the increase in fuel prices.

"All Transjakarta fares or those already incorporated in the Jaklingko program will not increase, they will remain. The tariff will remain IDR 3,500," said Syafrin.
