3 Days Lost In River Flow, Grandma 75 Years In Jambi Found Selamat

JAMBI - Khaminah, 75, who was reported to have drowned in the swift current of the Batang Tebo River since Tuesday, September 6, was found safe. The Jambi Basarnas team found the grandmother on the banks of the river 10 km from the scene.

Head of the Jambi Basarnas Kornelis said Khaminah was found after his party conducted a three-day search.

"Today at around 09.15 WIB, the joint Basarnas team managed to find Khaminah's grandmother safe without being injured but wet on the river bank," said Kornelis in Jambi, Friday, September 9.

The joint SAR team consisting of the Bungo SAR Post Basarnas, Polsek, TNI, BPBD Bungo, and the community conducted searches using two methods, namely the team's first method of sweeping the river using rafting boats.

Then the two teams' methods of searching the riverbanks are carried out by land.

At 09.15 WIB the search for a joint SAR team resulted in the victim on behalf of Khaminah being found safe on the river bank with a distance of approximately 10 KM from the scene.

When found, the victim was weak and then immediately evacuated by the joint SAR team to the Limbur Health Center, Merangin Regency.

At 10.30 WIB, after the victim was evacuated to the Puskesmas, the Joint SAR Team conducted a briefing on the closure of the SAR operation and the team returned to their respective units.

Korban Khaminah dilaporkan hilang terseret arus Sungai Batang Tebo, Desa Pauh Agung, Kabupaten Bungo, Jambi pada Selasa 6 September. Atas laporan itu tim Basarnas menurunkan tim dan langsung melakukan pencarian.
