JAKARTA - The man surprised the couple staying on the 40th floor of The Shard skyscraper, making him deal with London's security forces, England.

A husband and wife staying on the 40th floor of The Shard woke up with a surprise at 6 p.m. when a man climbed through their window after climbing a footless skyscraper.

Paul Curphey and his partner Treasaidh visited the iconic building in southeastern London for a birthday trip, when they saw someone "hailing into the window".

Previously, free climber Adam Lockwood shared a selfie on Facebook standing in a precarious position near the edge of the 310-meter-high iconic building.

Previously, Lockwood had shared a number of adventures on his profile, including images above the second-highest building in Dubai, Marina 101 reaching 425 meters.

"He smiled, waved, and had fun," Curphey said.

"The couple (I) thought I had done everything, managed to get a man to bring a box of milk serves for his birthday," joked Curphey.

"It's scary to see, but his happy attitude is very uplifting," he added.

London Metropolitan Police later confirmed the man had been arrested on suspicion of entry without permission.

Two other men were suspected of causing public disturbances, when the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade were present at the scene.
