3,048 TNI/Police Personnel Secure President Jokowi's Working Visit To Jayapura

JAYAPURA - Commander of Korem (Danrem) 172/PWY, Brigadier General JO Sembiring, said as many as 3,048 TNI-Police personnel were alerted to secure President Joko Widodo's working visit to Jayapura Regency, Papua.

Danrem said personnel will also secure various activities of President Jokowi on Wednesday, August 31, namely inaugurating the Papua Football Academy (PFA) at Istora Papua Bangkit.

President Jokowi is also scheduled to hand over business identification numbers (NIB) to Papuan mothers who are micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The handover of NIB to Papuan women will be held at the Toware Gymnasium, Doyo.

After carrying out his activities in Jayapura Regency, President Jokowi, who will be accompanied by the TNI Commander, continued his working visit to Timika, Mimika Regency, said Brigadier General JO Sembiring.

Danrem emphasized that the security situation is currently under control.

"The current security situation is conducive and we hope that it will continue to be maintained", he said.
