Abandoned By Sleeping Father, Toddler In Bali Dies Slipping Into The River

KLUNGKUNG - Viral on social media videos, residents found the body of a 3.5-year-old toddler boy dead in a bamboo bush in the river area of Tusan Village, Banjarangkan District, Klungkung Regency, Bali.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banjarangkan Police, Aiptu Ridwan, confirmed the incident. The victim is thought to have died from a fall.

"So maybe the child slipped and fell in the water and died", said Aiptu Ridwan, when contacted, Tuesday, August 16.

The discovery of the toddler's body occurred on Monday, August 15 night. The victim with the initials IGP came out while his father was sleeping in his room in Kangin Hamlet, Tusan Village.

The victim's father woke up in the afternoon and did not see the victim in the room. Together with residents, the victim's father conducted a search.

The victim was found by residents in the river east of the victim's house in a state of death. The distance between the victim's house and the river is about 15 meters.

"Furthermore, the victim was taken to the Banjarangkan I Health Center for a post-mortem. Yesterday, we brought a doctor from the Puskesmas, there was no violence in his body", said Aiptu Ridwan.
