Offering Free Services, Hotman Paris Ready To Defend Alfamart Employees: Contact Me, Don't Be Afraid

JAKARTA - A senior advocate, Hotman Paris Hutapea, offered punitive assistance services to an Alfamart employee who apologized precisely when he caught a woman taking chocolate from a minimarket window without paying.

"Hello Alfamart employees, you contact me, don't be afraid, I am ready to defend you for free," said Hotman Paris through his Instagram account, Monday, August 15.

"Hotman Paris is ready to defend Alfamart employees for free, contact me, DM me immediately," said Hotman again.

"Don't apologize if you don't feel guilty," he continued.

Previously, Alfamart acknowledged incidents that occurred between employees and consumers. The incident occurred on August 13 yesterday at 10.30 WIB at the Alfamart outlet in Cisauk, South Tangerang.

Alfamart said its employees saw a buyer who took the chocolate without paying. After being reprimanded, then the buyer paid for the chocolate that was taken.

However, as a result of the employee's investigation, there were other products taken apart from chocolate.

"Alfamart deeply regrets that there was a unilateral follow-up action from consumers by bringing in a lawyer who made Alfamart employees depressed," said Alfamart's statement.

"Alfamart is conducting further internal investigations and if necessary, Alfamart will take further legal steps," they wrote

Chronology of events

Initially, Alfamart employees approached women who had left the minimarket. The woman was seen sitting in the driver's seat of a Mercedes-Benz aka Mercy which was parked in the yard of the minimarket.

Along with other Alfamart employees, the woman was caught carrying chocolate bars without paying.

"Well I took [removing the chocolate from behind his body]," said the woman admitted her mistake.

The chocolate bars were then returned to Alfamart employees. He admitted that he had taken the chocolate past the convenience store cashier without paying.

A moment later the woman wanted to close the car door and was prevented by Alfamart employees.

"I don't want to, pay first," said the employee.

The woman then got out of the car to the cashier of the minimarket. "How do you get the chocolate, I see ma'am," said the Alfamart employee.
