Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Burning Residents' Cars In Deli Serdang, North Sumatra

MEDAN - Police arrested two of the four perpetrators of the burning of a resident's car in Deli Tua District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, which occurred some time ago.

"The identities of the two arrested perpetrators have the initials HL (37) and R (41)," said Deli Tua police chief Kompol Dedi Dharma as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 11.

The arrest of the two perpetrators was based on the report of the victim with the initials J related to the case of burning his car that occurred on Friday (5/8).

Based on the report, the police conducted an investigation and found out the identities of the four perpetrators who subsequently arrested the perpetrators HL and R in their hiding places.

"We are still pursuing the other two perpetrators," he said.

Based on the results of the interrogation, the motive for the perpetrator to burn the victim's car was motivated by heartache because he did not accept that his business was exposed to social media by the perpetrator.

"The perpetrator RA was hurt and invited other perpetrators to burn the victim's car," he said.

The perpetrators are subject to Article 187 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 55, Article 57 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 12 years in prison.

"We have arrested the perpetrators," he said.
