Compact When Registering With The KPU, KIB Is Encouraged To Offer Programs

JAKARTA - The Golkar, PAN and PPP parties call the joint registration to the KPU a sign of the unity of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) towards the upcoming 2024 Simultaneous General Elections.

The three political parties in KIB also encourage the 2024 General Election to be held honestly and fairly, democratically, and not to use issues that only divide the nation.

Even the General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP, Airlangga Hartarto, emphasized that KIB is determined to maintain political stability in Indonesia ahead of the 2024 General Election.

In response, the Director of the Center for Political Studies at the University of Indonesia (Puskapol UI) Aditya Perdana, assessed that KIB's determination to maintain political stability ahead of the 2024 General Election was in the corridor that the three parties that were members did not want the polarization incident in the 2019 Election to repeat itself.

"I think the reasons stated by KIB are the same corridor, that social political stability, we don't want a repeat of political polarization or the politicization of identity that was rife in 2019," Aditya said in Jakarta, Thursday, August 11.

However, according to Aditya, KIB should translate that determination into programs and frameworks. Because since the declaration, apart from the KIB presidential candidate, he has not submitted the program of his coalition.

"So the point should be more on the program offer. The difference is there. The program offer is much more important," said Aditya.

Aditya said the determination and enthusiasm to maintain political stability is a common interest for all the nation's children who are involved in the five-yearly democratic party. He emphasized that fair and democratic elections must be realized not only by contestants, but also by organizers and voters.

"Everyone is really invited to maintain unity and unity. So in that corridor all parties who want to be part of the 2024 election have the same framework," he said.

Therefore, Aditya considered, this spirit should not be used as a differentiator in political choices. But also a national agreement.

"This issue must be a concern. It should not be divided into a nomination contest or political contestation," said Aditya. .

Previously, Golkar General Chair Airlangga Hartato explained that KIB would encourage the 2024 Election to become an election with a contest of ideas and ideas, both in the legislative and presidential elections.

"So KIB will push the politics of ideas forward. In other words, Pak Soeharso is a smart politician," said Airlangga at the KPU, Wednesday, August 10.

The Coordinating Minister for the Economy then mentioned the follow-up agenda of KIB in Surabaya on August 14. The event is the delivery of the coalition's vision and mission for the 2024 General Election.

"Wait until the 14th (August) there will be a follow-up agenda in Surabaya regarding what content will be brought by KIB," Airlangga continued.
