Ganjar Pranowo's Message For Unsoed's New Students

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo invites new students at Jenderal Sudirman University (Unsoed) Purwokerto, to have the spirit to excel.

"The new students have ideas, always have enthusiasm, have pride because they have passed the selection, a very strict test. I don't even know now their ratio is one to how many competitors," said Ganjar, Wednesday 10 August.

He said this to reporters after motivating new Unsoed students in the "Soedirman Student Summit 2022" at the Graha Widyatama Auditorium Prof. Rubijanto Misman, Unsoed.

Based on information from Unsoed, one person on average is compared to 135 people. Ganjar is also happy to hear the stories of children from Papua who feel comfortable studying at Unsoed.

"Then from Kalimantan, then from Sumatra. I was also touched, I saw that there were students from Central Java Vocational Schools who were accepted here from Purbalingga, moreover in (Engineering, ed.) Civil major," said the number one person in Central Java.

With the acceptance of the Central Java Vocational School graduate, he said, would definitely change their fate and their family.

"Especially those from Central Java Vocational Schools, from families who, sorry, can't afford it. And I'm happy because earlier one of the Papuans was able to video call with his father who was there," he said.

In fact, he said, the father of the Papuan student showed a happy face.

It also provides an overview to Unsoed's new students about how geopolitics and challenges are changing, as well as the economy is not easy.

"But on the other hand, there is a great opportunity that they can get because of their ability to master technology, because they have good cultural values, because they are children who have big dreams for this nation and country," he said.

Therefore, his party provides examples so that the new Unsoed students have achievement motivation.

"So there is a spirit to excel because they are a choice, it is only up to the lecturers to direct them with their respective talents. And I am sure, seeing a generation like this, our future is bright even though the challenges are not easy," said Ganjar.
