JAKARTA - The Jakarta Energy Transmigration Manpower Office (Disnakertrans) noted that the number of unemployment cases in Central Jakarta was very high, reaching 35 thousand people. They are still looking for work to this day.

"In Central Jakarta, there are 35 thousand job seekers. That figure is quite high," said Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Nakertrans-E Service, Hedy Wijaya, to reporters in Central Jakarta, Monday, August 8.

Hedy said, in order to reduce the unemployment rate, his party held a job fair or job fair.

The job fair will last until Tuesday, August 9th. There are 40 companies participating in the job fair, which was first held in 2022.

"There are 7,000 job vacancies available at the job fair," he said.

The chairman of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ismail, said that this activity was considered an indicator of the Jakarta economy starting to rise. Because many companies are opening job vacancies for job seekers.

"I also saw that the interest of the people who attended was also quite high," he said.
