JAKARTA - Thousands of cadres of the Gerindra Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB) began visiting the General Elections Commission (KPU) building. The arrival of the two political parties was accompanied by the performing arts of Reog Ponorogo, lion dance and marching band.

The Gerindra-PKB coalition started the parade from the compact Sunda Kelapa Mosque in white uniforms carrying their respective party flags. The cadres also joined in singing the party's slogans.

From observations at 15.48 WIB, Monday, August 8, there was only the Secretary General of Gerindra Ahmad Muzani, the Daily Chair of Gerindra DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

PKB and Gerindra are scheduled together to the General Election Commission (KPU) to register as political parties participating in the 2024 General Election. The party chaired by Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin and Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend at 15.00 WIB.

Thousands of joint PKB and Gerindra cadres are planned to gather in front of the Sunda Kelapa Mosque, Jakarta, before the march to the KPU.

"It is planned that 1,000 joint PKB and Gerindra cadres with their respective uniforms will gather in front of the Sunda Kelapa Mosque," said PKB deputy head, Jazilul Fawaid, when contacted, Monday, August 8.

Jazilul said that the group would walk to the RI KPU while carrying the flag and the red and white flag accompanied by a marching band.

"The group will walk with a sign and a red and white flag accompanied by a marching band to the KPU office," he said.

Meanwhile, Cak Imin, said Jazilul, will meet Prabowo at the KPU gate. Only after that, the two presidents will enter the KPU building together, accompanied by PKB and Gerindra elites.

"If there are no obstacles, Gus Muhaimin and Mas Bowo will meet in front of the KPU office to enter together, accompanied by PKB and Gerindra officials," said Jazilul.
