5 Store Employees In Cilacap Embezzled IDR 500 Million Worth Of Goods

CILACAP – Five employees of the Adijaya Baru Wanareja store in Wanareja Village, Wanareja District, Cilacap Regency, have been accused of embezzling goods worth IDR 500 million. The perpetrators with the initials S, ASP, T, DW, and DT were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Wanareja Police, Central Java. The money from the crime was divided equally by the perpetrators.

Cilacap Police Deputy Head, Commissioner Suryo Wibowo said the incident began on Wednesday, May 25, then at around 10.00 western Indonesia time, when the victim received a report from the head of the shop that there was a large difference between purchases and sales.

After the victim checked, the victim realized there was something wrong. The victim also made a report to the Wanareja Police.

After conducting an investigation, Tuesday, June 7, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Wanareja Police arrested five employees suspected of embezzling the victim's shop.

"The perpetrator is suspected of under Article 374 of the Criminal Code, embezzlement committed against goods due to an employment relationship or because of a search or because of receiving wages, is threatened with a maximum imprisonment of five years," said Commissioner Suryo.
