JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR, Junimart Girsang, has asked the Government to immediately determine the employment status of more than 3,500 temporary employees of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) in the North Sumatra Provincial Government.
"The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform and the Ministry of Home Affairs must be wise in responding to the concerns of these Satpol, of which more than 3,500 people are currently vacillating in their employment status. I urge that special regulations be made immediately that can accommodate their status," said Junimart Girsang in a statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 3, quoted from Antara.
Junimart said this after receiving aspirations from representatives of honorary staff of Satpol PP throughout North Sumatra who are members of the Nusantara Civil Service Police Assistance Communication Forum (FK BPPPN) at the aspiration house of Junimart Girsang Center (JGC), North Sumatra.
He explained that the Satpol PP honorary staff have served for 10 to 20 years as honorary staff, so they deserve to receive an award through appointment as civil servants (PNS) or Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK).
According to him, these aspirations will be discussed in a hearing meeting (RDP) at Commission II of the DPR RI with the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), taking into account the length of their service period of 10 to 20 years. .
The government plans to abolish honorary staff in 2023, as stated in the Circular Letter of the Kemenpan RB Number: B/185/M.SM.02.03.2022 dated May 31, 2022.
"So far it has created concern for all honorary workers in Indonesia, so he asked for collaboration between the regional government, as well as regional heads and DPRD, as well as the DPR RI in fighting for the fate of the honorary workers," he said.
Junimart asks regional heads for one voice and one language to fight for the status of Satpol PP, because they are appointed by regional heads who cannot escape responsibility.
