Bringing 10.5 Ecstasy Pills, Celebrity In Banjarmasin Arrested

BANJARMASIN - A Instagram celebrity in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan with the initials F alias Olju (33) was arrested by the police while carrying 10.5 ecstasy pills in the Ahmad Yani Street area of Banjarmasin.

"Evidence was hidden by the suspect in his mouth along with a plastic clip", said East Banjarmasin Police Chief, Commissioner Pujie Firmansyah, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 2.

The celebrity, which has 44.8 thousand followers on Instagram, was caught when the East Banjarmasin Police Criminal Investigation Unit conducted a patrol.

The perpetrator with suspicious behavior was approached by officers and a search was carried out and 10.5 ecstasy narcotics were found.

To the police, the suspect admitted that the ecstasy was for his own use which he got from a friend.

Pujie said that the case was being developed to capture the network of dealers who supplied the drug to the celebrity.

For his actions, the suspect who is currently being detained has been charged by investigators with Article 112 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"We remind anyone not to touch any kind of drug, whether you are a user or involved in trafficking if you don't want to go to jail or die because of an overdose", said Pujie.
