BADUNG - The Bali Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) arrested three foreign nationals (WNA) in possession of cocaine. The evidence seized was nearly one kilogram of cocaine.

The cocaine case was disclosed by the Head of BNN Komjen Petrus Reinhard Golose after closing the "11th Bali International Choir Festival 2022," in Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, Thursday, July 28.

"We all know that cocaine has just been found in Bali and that it has spread from abroad," said Petrus.

However, his party did not provide details regarding the arrest of the three foreigners. This case is still being investigated by BNNP Bali.

"But now it is still on going and we see how their networking is, give them the opportunity (BNNP Bali) to work," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bali Province BNN, Brigadier General Gde Sugianyar Dwi Putra, said his party had secured nearly one kilogram of cocaine as evidence.

"Almost one kilogram and of course this is still a process. We are still exploring and we are also involving friends from related agencies, especially friends from immigration and customs to conduct studies and analyze the origin of goods and their networks," he said.

The three foreigners were arrested at a villa in the Denpasar and Badung areas, Bali.

“We didn't find it at the airport or at the port, no. We find separate networks of these three people and locations in the villas occupied by them as foreign nationals, who happen to be on tourist activities. (Arrested) around Denpasar and Badung areas, tourist areas," he said.

From the interim examination, cocaine was circulated to foreigners who were on vacation in Bali. The price of cocaine per gram is said to be around IDR 4-5 million.

"The average user is foreigners," said Brigadier General Gde Sugianyar.
