Now BPN Employee Uniforms Wear Berets And Command Sticks, Hadi Tjahjanto: A Form Of Equality In Law Enforcement

JAKARTA - The uniforms of the employees of the Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) now have beret marks, ranks, and the use of commando sticks.

The innovation of the uniform was initiated by the Minister of ATR/BPN Hadi Tjahjanto. With the hope that the authority of the Heads of ATR/BPN in the region will increase so that they are brave in eradicating the land mafia.

"If there are Kakanwil and Kakantah officials who have carried out their duties according to procedures and carried out as well as possible, but Kakantah, Kakanwil, or employees are criminalized, I will install a body to defend them", said Hadi, quoted from the official website of the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

The process of launching the new attributes of ATR/BPN employees was carried out during the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Mega Kuningan, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 26 yesterday.

Hadi explained that the commando baton and beret were used complete with daily official attire with the aim that the Head of the Provincial BPN and Kakantah Regional Offices could be more confident in carrying out their work.

This is because he has asked the regional head to join the Regional Leaders Communication Forum (Forkopimda) Plus.

"The Ministry of ATR/BPN requires the participation of governors, police, law enforcement officers, and judicial institutions in carrying out their duties. For that, to create a good performance and coordination, I always convey to the governor so that the head of the office can enter Forkopimda Plus", said Hadi.

Hadi said that Kakanwil and Kakantah apart from maintaining authority in carrying out their duties could also feel equal to other law enforcement officers.

"The baton and beret are a form of equality [fellow law enforcers]", said Hadi.

On the same occasion, the Special Staff of the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN for Institutional Cooperation, Ganip Warsito, explained the use or function as well as the provisions and how to use the new attributes.

"The Minister actually wants to give appreciation to all levels of the Ministry of ATR/BPN who in carrying out their duties as government employees have served the community well as well as motivated", he concluded.
