BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto said Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil were one of the best presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 Simultaneous General Elections.

The pair of governors have compatibility or chemistry with each other in leadership relations for the Indonesian nation, according to Bima Arya after the commemoration of the 50th TP PKK Movement Unity Day (HKG) in the City of Bogor in Puri Begawan, Bogor, West Java, Monday (25/7). ).

"I see that one of the best leadership duo options for the nation is them," said Bima Arya as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 25.

He also assessed that Ganjar and Ridwan could have a higher mandate so that they could provide goodness for the Indonesian people.

The chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) DPP added that the names of the two regional heads were quite popular among internal parties bearing the white sun symbol. PAN will soon announce a presidential candidate (candidate) and a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) in August 2022.

"PAN is currently in the selection process. God willing, in August we will announce six presidential and vice presidential candidates," he said.

However, Bima Arya stated that Ganjar and Ridwan Kamil had agreed to concentrate on their duties as regional heads.

The leadership period which will end in 2023 makes the three of them want to give the best for the people in their respective areas.

"So our main task is to agree to fight in their respective positions. Next year we will all end. Kang Emil and Mas Ganjar in September, and I in December. Where after that? Of course we agreed to collaborate and communicate," he said.

Bima Arya also did not deny that there were political conversations ahead of the 2024 General Election between the three of them, especially during a morning run together in Bandung City, Monday.
