JAKARTA - Commission III of the Jambi Regional Representative Council (DPRD) agreed with the plan to build an international standard football stadium in the Pijoan area, Muaro Jambi Regency.

The stadium is planned to be equipped with hotel facilities. The construction budget is IDR 411.7 billion.

"After the council listened to the consultant's explanation regarding the selection of the stadium location, we again handed it over to the provincial government through the Jambi governor for its construction," said Jambi DPRD Commission III member Fauzi Ansori, Friday, July 22.

The consultant recommended that the Jambi international stadium be more suitable to be built in Pijoan, Muaro Jambi Regency. The council approved the development after the consultant presented the results of the Feasibility Study (FS) in front of Commission III of the Jambi Provincial DPRD, Thursday, July 21.

Regarding the results of the FS, the council did not want to intervene with the Jambi Provincial Government to determine the location of an international football stadium in Jambi.

"We leave everything to the Jambi Governor, we cannot determine the location," said Fauzi Ansori as quoted by Antara.

From the results of the FS conducted by the consultant, by conducting a study in the Pondok Table, Pijoan and Sungai Gelam areas, Muarojambi Regency, it was returned to the executive.

"We leave everything to the provincial government where it is located, we are only carrying out our function as supervision," said Fauzi Ansori.

Regarding the results of the Jambi Governor Al Must's decision later, Fauzi Ansori said that if something unwanted happened later, the council would not interfere.

"Because we only carry out supervision, the rest is the responsibility of the Jambi Provincial Government, because they know everything. We only agree on the budget," said Fauzi Ansori.

Meanwhile, a representative from the consultant PT Environesia Global, Tio explained, based on the results of the study, it was concluded that Pijoan was more suitable to build an international stadium in Jambi Province.

This is from the results of a study of three locations, namely Pijoan, Pondok Meja, and Sungai Gelam, Muarojambi Regency, which were proposed for the stadium location.

"For an international standard stadium to be built in Jambi Province, it is more feasible in Pijoan," he said.

This is adjusted to the legal, technical, environmental, and socio-economic aspects as well as culture. The recommended location is on the Jambi-Muara Bulian road, Pijoan village, Jambi Outer City District.

The consultant from Yogyakarta also explained that in total, including the DED aspect and supporting aspects such as hospitality at the location, it required a total budget of IDR 411.7 billion. The supporting buildings can be built on a business or Build, Use, Handover (BGS/BOT) scheme, while the stadium construction costs reach IDR 306 billion.
