COVID-19 Update As Of July 18: New Cases 3,393, Active Cases 28,506

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 105,165 specimens were examined with the results of 3,393 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 6,138,346 people and active cases rose by 956 to 28,506 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, July 18.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,427 cases, bringing the total to 5,952,981 recovered people. Then, 10 positive confirmations died and a total of 156,859 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,864 cases and a total of 1,295,854 cases. Followed by West Java with 531 new cases with a total of 1,121,617 cases. Banten has 470 new cases and a total of 303,300 cases. Then, East Java with 18 new cases and a total of 581,134 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,355 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 425 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 152 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 209 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 102,193,503.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 9.09 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,832 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,996,816 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,582,051. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 53,126,957. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
